The following letter was written to Replay Player Rep and Team Play Poker Player GrandyB to
clarify where Team Play Poker sit's within the Replay Poker Rules.
"Hi Randy,
I wanted to get back to you as soon as possible regarding the TPP League. I have talked to our Collusion Manager, Rob, and here is what he determined:
"I am aware there was a post by GrandyB which was moderated but my understanding was nobody for a moment suspects either Randy or anyone else is cheating in a poker sense or doing anything malicious in the Team Play League. The League was set up by Lyle after a long discussion between myself as to what 'Team' play actually meant and inferred. I am satisfied Lyle is very aware of the ramifications and has managed the League with total transparency to all who have shown an interest in it.
Replay is a community site which offers poker. There is not widespread collusion but there is a mind set which accepts that players help friends in that nobody wants to win the last chip from a Friend. I see this on a daily basis and moderate accordingly.
If you are asking whether Replay says collusion in some form is acceptable, then No, we will not permit players to be unwittingly cheated by other players. In the context of a League where all players are subscribed as members (through their own request) and all members are aware of the scoring system and the dynamics of the game are well publicised, as a collusion investigator I feel that it is simply another variant of poker, which the players are happy to explore."
I hope this clears up any confusion related to the League's team play. Please let me know if you have additional questions.
Warmly,
Susan"
